Letterjoy’s Return Policy

Here at Letterjoy, we want to build happy and lasting relationships with our members. As part of that, we offer the following refund and return policy:

Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are unsatisfied with your letters, you may request a full refund within:

  • The first 30 days after the first letter is mailed for three month memberships and packages.

  • The first 50 days after the first letter is mailed for six month and one year memberships and packages.

  • The first 14 days after the first letter is mailed for one month memberships and packages, when available.

No explanation is required for these refunds, although we will request one so that we can better serve future members. Once a refund is requested, letters may continue to arrive for up to a week, as letters already in production will continue to be mailed. This offer is valid once per customer.

Missing or damaged letter(s): In the case of missing or damaged letters, Letterjoy support will work with affected customers to investigate and address the cause of the missing or damaged letter(s) and either replace the affected letter(s), or add additional letters to the customer’s account in substitution.

As a part of this process, Letterjoy support agents may require certain information from customers including, but not limited to, confirmation of the customer’s address or a photo of a damaged letter.

After the Guarantee: Outside of the above windows, pro-rated refunds are available upon request until all the letters for a given membership package have been mailed.

Every Letterjoy letter package includes a fixed number of letters corresponding to either the number of weeks in the package’s length (e.g. 52 in a year, 26 in six months), or the number of weeks plus additional letters (as in the case of our Dear Holmes service).

Pro-rated refunds are calculated based on the percentage of purchased letters marked as mailed by a fulfillment associate in our fulfillment system.

In certain extraordinary cases, Letterjoy, at its option, may choose to extend full refunds to customers outside the above guaranteed window.
